Hot Buffet Menus

A relatively new addition to the Nyama Menu Collection: Our Hot Buffet Menus is definitely not something you'll find anywhere else. Our unique flavour and taste will see you trying to recreate this at home ... but don't tempt fate ... leave that to the professionals!

These menus are ideally suited for the colder winter months and is perfect for Wedding Receptions, Corporate Functions and Private Parties.

Rooibos Infused Smoked Salmon

The Rooibos Flavour really merges with the Salmon and gives a definite taste.

  

Oven Baked "Snoek" with Sweet Citrus Basting

Snoek, a delightful fish similar to the Barracuda, hails from the Western Cape. Its meat is firm with a strong flavour.

 

Springbok & Pinotage Puff Pastry Pie

Two South African favorites packed into one delicious pie.

Traditional Cape Malay "Bobotie"

Some claim this to be the national dish of South Africa. It's a delicious mixture of curried meat and fruit with a creamy golden topping.

 

Tomato Lamb Neck "Bredie"

Bredie is an old Cape name for a dish of meat and vegetables stewed together so that the flavours intermingle. The gravy is rich, thick and full-bodied, and is obtained by using Lamb Neck.

Freshly Baked Rustic Breads (ORGANIC) served with Farmhouse butter and Jams

"Geel rys" with Raisins

Aromatic and beautifully colored, yellow rice is the perfect companion to bobotie, pie, stews or fish.

  • We will include sufficient staff to serve all of the above Buffet Style if you wish to have this served to the tables (silver service) you would need to order extra staff from us
  • We also include all the necessary dishes in order to sufficiently serve the cuisine buffet style. This included Chafing Dishes to keep the buffet nice and toasty!

  • Beyerskloof Reserva Pinotage 2007 - Priced at £12.50 + VAT per bottle

Pinotage is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, traditionally known as Hermitage, and has gained increasing popularity in South Africa. This is a textbook example of how good this grape variety can be. Full bodied with dark berry and plum flavours and new French oak which adds well balanced complexity. 

  • Coffee and Tea (English & Rooibos) served buffet style with all the cups, saucers, sugar, milk included - Priced at £1.95 + VAT per person

  • China Crockery and Stainless Cutlery for Starter, Main and Dessert - Priced at £1.50 + VAT

  • Extra Staff for serving drinks or to provide Silver Service  - Priced at £95 + VAT per staff member for a duration of 7 hours
